Located at 921 Peach St, Erie, PA 16501, UPMC Healthy Families Primary Care operates as a family serving Erie in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as medical group, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Many people looking for a dentist also need a doctor, and this group lists the medical clinics, family physicians, urgent care and walk-in centers, hospitals, pediatricians, eye doctors, medical specialists and pharmacies near the dental practices on the site. Primary care in the US runs through family doctors and internists who coordinate referrals; urgent care centers handle minor injuries and illnesses without an appointment for far less than an emergency room; hospitals with emergency departments are the place for severe facial trauma or a dental infection that spreads. Pharmacies fill the antibiotics and pain medication a dentist prescribes and sell fluoride rinses and prescription-strength toothpaste.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 7 am–12 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Erie peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We've been seeing our doctor at healthy families since 2019 and the care and customer service has only gotten progressively worse. It's impossible to get any form of communication returned in a timely manner, office staff is rude and inconsiderate. They clearly have not been trained by anyone in any type of forward facing customer service position and it's only gotten worse over the years. Would absolutely not recommend this practice to anyone and will be looking for a new doctor for my three children. Truly a shame because we've always loved our doctor but the nurses and office management/staff are ATROCIOUS. As an organization, UPMC should be embarrassed that these are the people representing them. I highly doubt they are up to any level of care or customer service that is taught or expected by the company.

I moved to the Erie area a little over a year ago and had a surprisingly difficult time finding a new primary care provider. I have a few ongoing health issues, so the transition was stressful, especially after leaving a doctor I’d trusted for almost 15 years. After a long search, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Colton at Healthy Families. From my very first visit, I knew I’d found the right fit. Even though she’s early in her career, Dr. Colton brings an exceptional level of attentiveness, compassion, and up-to-date medical knowledge. I was looking for someone with fresh energy, a long runway ahead, and a modern approach to patient care, and she has exceeded every expectation. She listens intently, asks thoughtful questions, and focuses on long-term healing rather than simply treating symptoms. Each appointment feels genuinely unhurried, and she has a way of making me feel like I’m the most important part of her day. The nursing team and staff at Healthy Families deserve just as much praise. They’re friendly, reassuring, and always ready with a smile or a bit of lighthearted conversation, yet consistently professional and responsive to any concerns I brin

My experience with Anne Mitchell, PA-C at Healthy Families was deeply unsatisfactory and, in my opinion, well below an acceptable standard of care. Throughout my visits, I consistently felt dismissed and spoken to in a condescending manner. Despite my efforts to clearly communicate my symptoms and concerns, I left each appointment feeling that my perspective as the patientβ€”and the person actually living in my bodyβ€”was not taken seriously. In my view, her approach significantly hindered the diagnostic process and caused unnecessary delays in my care. The lack of attentive listening and the overall demeanor projected an attitude of superiority rather than collaboration. This made the experience not only unproductive but also extremely frustrating. Given the impact this had on my health and the considerable time wasted, I cannot recommend her as a provider. I am moving forward with filing a formal complaint so that my concerns are officially documented and reviewed.

After sitting on the phone for 30 minutes to get from spot 10 to spot 1 I was hung up on as soon as the hold ended. When I tried to call back I was told theyre receiving more calls then normal and to try again later. Tried to cancel my appointment to not inconvenience anyone, definitely pretty inconvenient to get stuck on the phone for 30 minutes and not even get to resolve my issue. You'd think youd call the person backing knowing you hung up on them. Thanks for the waste of time. ALSO some of the nurses here will give u the most painful shot you've ever had, hire people with gentle hands.

They told me to switch my pcp to be able to schedule an appointment, I did since then I haven't been able to get on the phone with anyone. They're mailbox is either always full or when I leave a message there is no response. I just want to schedule a physical. I don't even know what to do anymore...
